Chinese fonts: tabs and other elements width twitching on unfocus in IntelliJ IDEA

Problem

The font spacing in the navigation bar expands when the IDE window loses focus. This issue also affects the project name, git controls, and bottom status bar.

While the IDE window is inactive:

Cause

The issue arises due to a difference in rendering when using "PingFang SC Semibold" UI font

Resolution

Change the UI font to "Inter" under the following path:

Settings | Appearance & Behavior | Appearance | Accessibility | Use custom font

A user reported that switching to "Inter" resolved the issue as their initial font, "PingFang SC Semibold," caused the problem.
