File Types settings page stuck on "loading" due to plugin SystemVerilog

Problem

When trying to open the File | Settings | Editor | File Types menu in version 2024.1.5 of the IDE, the settings page always stays in a loading state.

Cause

3rd party plugin SystemVerilog (2019.1.BETA.12) produces a lot of exceptions in the IDEA log file(to open IDEA logs, navigate to the menu Help | Open Log in Editor).

Resolution

Disable plugin SystemVerilog via the menu File | Settings | Plugins, installed Tab.
