Background

Sometimes, when you click on a code link/reference in the editor, the referenced class or interface file will be opened in the current tab, but you want it to be opened in a new tab.

Solution

Navigate to "Help | Find Action | Registry", find "editor.preview.tab.navigation", and make sure it's unchecked.
