How to open files from /usr/local in Finder (macOS)

Problem

You might need to specify the exact file or directory using Finder on macOS. The Open dialog in the Finder doesn't show hidden directories by default, so it is not possible to select some files like dotnet executable (/usr/local/share/dotnet) or MSBuild version (/usr/local/share/dotnet/sdk/10.x.x/MSBuild.dll).

Resolution

1. Open Finder.
2. Enable the showing of hidden files and folders with the Command ⌘ + Shift ⇧ + . hotkey.
3. Go up in the directory tree using the Cmd + ArrowUp hotkey until you see the /usr.
