How to collect Perforce logs in JetBrains IDE

Instruction:

• Enable "File | Settings | Version Control | Perforce | Dump Perforce Commands";

• In Rider opened, press Shift+Shift, so that the search popup appears;

• Type and select "Debug Log Settings", so that a dialog opens;

• Paste the proper loggers and press OK:

  • If the issue relates to changelist updates (such as slow update, or expected entries are not displayed), paste only these two lines:

    #org.jetbrains.idea.perforce.application.PerforceChangeProvider:trace
    #org.jetbrains.idea.perforce.application.PerforceUnversionedTracker:trace
    

  • Otherwise:

    #org.jetbrains.idea.perforce:trace
    

• Reproduce the issue;

• Collect logs via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data;

• Attach the generated archive to your response in support request or upload it to the Upload Service and mention the Upload ID in your response.

• Disable the enabled traces and the "Dump Perforce Commands" setting;
