What is an emergency (safe) mode available for LVoP?

This is a special mode allowing users to activate IDE, while there are issues at JetBrains IDE Server preventing users from getting the license the normal way
Intention is to back them up and running ASAP while support is looking for a permanent solution

How to turn on Emergency (Safe) Mode at JetBrains IDE Services

!IMPORTANT! To be able to issue SafeMode key, regular license has to be activated beforehand, License ID needs to be supplied to JetBrains technical support ()

Hint: License ID can be found "License & Activation" page in the UI, or in your JetBrains account
Put your JetBrains IDE Services instance (JBIDES) into emergency mode by adding a SAFEMODE_KEY environmental variable and put in the license key as a value:
- In case of Kubernetes deployment, add it to values.yaml under ides/config/additionalEnvs :
```
ides:
  ...
  config:
    additionalEnvs:
      name: SAFEMODE_KEY
      value: "your_key_gonna_be_here"
```
- OR use kubectl:
```
kubectl set env deployments/my-ide-services-deployment SAFEMODE_KEY=my-value
```
- In case of Docker deployment, add SAFEMODE_KEY variable to the environment section in your docker-compose.yaml:
```
  tbe-server:
    environment:
      - SAFEMODE_KEY=<paste_your_key_here>
```
- Google Cloud Run example:
Start your JetBrains IDE Services instance
JBIDES run in emergency mode and act as a License Server (only!) by the URL of the deployment.
To withdraw SafeMode, config changes need to be reverted and service redeployed.
SafeMode will only work for 3 days (72 hours) – counting from the time the key was issued!
- Support needs to take quick measures to recover customer ASAP until the end of the period
A customer will not be able to download IDE binaries and plugins during the time the Safe Mode is operational.
SafeMode will help when either database, S3 bucket, Authentication provider is down, IDE Services license can't be activated AND the problem can't be solved in a reasonable amount of time
Generally use extra caution and common sense when applying SafeMode
