Problem

When attempting to activate an IDE's license, the user encounters an error message: "Cannot invoke "java.security.KeyStore.size()" because "this.myKeyStore" is null."

Cause

The error indicates that the IDE's local SSL truststore file is either missing, corrupted, or unreadable.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the following folder path on your system: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\JetBrains\[IDE][VersionNumber]\ssl\.
  2. Locate and delete the cacerts file.
  3. Restart the IDE and proceed with the activation process again.

If the issue persists, please provide the full IDE log for further investigation.
