Problem
Users are receiving repetitive emails with the subject "Action required: Your JetBrains IDE Services license key has changed," even though the new license has already been activated and the required procedures have been followed.
Cause
The email notifications are automatically generated when there are changes to the IDE Services license pool. This includes:
- Edits to the license configuration (e.g. transferring licenses to the License Vault results in a change to the license key)
- Updates when the billing period ends and usage statistics need to be collected
- JetBrains Account -> JetBrains Central Console migration. An organization has been moved to the shared AI Credits pool in JetBrains Central Console, no further actions are needed on the organization's side, and the AI Access settings should remain the same as before the migration. This migration also does not affect AI Enterprise usage, if an organization is using it.
Additionally, the repeated notifications might be occurring due to internal processes where the IDE Services Server is requesting updates or refreshing license details, which may not always be noticeable to the user.
Resolution
At this time, there is no available functionality to disable these email notifications. Notifications are sent to all IDE Services On-Premises instances, including demo instances by design.
However, this behavior has been acknowledged as inconvenient and has been communicated with our team for further review and potential system improvements.
If the volume of notifications becomes unmanageable, please feel free to contact the support team for assistance and share further feedback to aid in refining the process.
