Problem
When starting JetBrains IDE Services Demo after updating docker-compose.yml to the latest version (2026.0.1.366), a "Session expired" error is displayed, and users cannot access the license activation screen.
Cause
The mock-auth section in the docker-compose.yml file does not have the same image tag (version) as the tbe-server section. This version mismatch causes the session issue.
Resolution
To resolve the "Session expired" issue, update the mock-auth section in the docker-compose.yml file to ensure its version matches the one used for tbe-server. For example, use image: registry.jetbrains.team/p/toolbox-enterprise/public/tbe-mock-auth:2026.0.1.366 if the tbe-server version is 2026.0.1.366.
After updating the file, perform the following steps:
- Run
docker compose downto stop all running containers. - Run
docker compose upto restart everything cleanly.
Once these changes are made, the "Session expired" message should no longer appear, and the license activation screen should be accessible.
