Problem
Despite being in the correct user group and having a functional connection to the IDE Services instance, the user was unable to acquire a JetBrains IDE license (e.g. IntelliJ IDEA) with There are no valid licenses associated with the account error. This issue persisted even though licenses were available, and the setup was previously working correctly.
Cause
The user was logged into their personal JetBrains Account in IntelliJ IDEA instead of utilizing the License Server option in the "Manage Subscription/License" page. As a result, the IDE failed to acquire a valid license for the user and displayed an error stating that no valid licenses were associated with their account. This error occurs when there are no active IDE licenses associated with the user's JetBrains Account, not that No matching licenses left on the server / No available licenses.
Resolution
Please close the error notification and click on the "Activate" button under the "Server Address" field in the License Server option IDE (e.g. IntelliJ IDEA), instead of the "Subscription" option, as the latter uses your JetBrains Account to activate the license. This action should initiate the authentication process with the IDE Services. Once completed, the user should acquire the license via License Vault.
