Resolving LDAP Login with CORS Issue behind Apache2

Problem

Users encounter a 403 FORBIDDEN error when trying to use LDAP login on JetBrains IDE Services behind an Apache2 reverse proxy. The error is identified as a CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) rejection with the message:

Reject: 'https://jides-test.example.ie' origin is not allowed

Cause

The IDE Services server does not trust the domain https://jides-test.example.ie because it has not been added to the allowed origins in the server's CORS configuration.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, the following steps were carried out:

1. Update the configuration application.yaml file to include the domain https://jides-test.example.ie in the allowed origins list.
