In case you use IDE Provisioner and would like to block all the plugins in users' IDEs including bundled ones, there is a script attached which allows you to do that.
While it contains a short readme here are the detailed steps on how-to successfully apply it:
- Login to your IDE Services instance and gather the
access_token, e.g. by using browser Web Developer Tool. - Launch the script with the updated
bundled_plugins.jsonfile. - Enter your IDE Services URL
- Enter the Profile ID.
- Paste the
access_tokenyou have fetched at p.1
The current script configuration will allow you to forcefully block bundled plugins. You can also modify the script to apply other rule types. For that, open script.sh file in any text editor and search for next lines:
NEW_RULES_BUNDLES=$(jq '[
{
"filters": [
{
"type": "include-all"
}
],
"rules": [
.plugins[] | {
"type": "single-plugin",
"action": "force-restrict",
"singlePluginTypeRule": {
"type": "bundled",
"pluginDefinition": {
"id": .xmlId,
"name": .name
}
}
}
]
}
]' bundled-plugins.json)
Here, you can change the rule type by changing the value of action parameter. Below is the list of the possible values (description of each type can be found in the docs) :
force-restrict
restrict
disable
allow
auto-install
force-auto-install
