Authenticating Bitbucket VCS root with API Tokens

Question

Atlassian deprecated App Passwords in favor of API Tokes. How can Bitbucket API Tokens be used in TeamCity VCS roots for authentication?

Answer

1. Create a scoped token. Unscoped tokens won't work with git commands (Atlassian's limitation).
2. Set username to x-bitbucket-api-token-auth.
3. Use the API Token as a password.
