Docker login intermittently fails causing the build to fail

Symptoms

Confirmed on versions: before 2025.07

1. Docker is used when running the build.
2. Docker login intermittently fails with An error occurred while executing 'docker login -u "<user>" --password-stdin <registry>'
3. Build fails without retries to log in to the Docker registry.

Cause

Intermittent login errors indicate intermittent issues with the network or Docker registry.

Resolution

In the 2025.07 version of TeamCity, the bundled Docker Support plugin was updated to implement retry logic for failed Docker login attempts. TeamCity update is recommended.
