Problem
There is no npm folder under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming . Azurite.cmd is missing. Can't launch Azurite service in Rider.
Cause
Azurite is not installed on the machine
Resolution
Ensure node.js is installed on your machine. (check if node --version prints something in the terminal). The recommended version is the one that can be downloaded from Download Node as the LTS one.
- Restart terminal and ensure
node --version,npm --versionprints output; - Install azurite
npm install -g azurite; - Restart Rider;
- Check if you can now start azurite service;
If that doesn't help, ensure Settings | Tools | Azure | Azurite | Azurite executable path points to a proper Azurite.cmd. Also check if node and npm are properly discovered in Settings | Languages & Frameworks | Node.js.
