Problem
Rider fails to restore NuGet packages. One has to run dotnet restore command manually to restore packages in a solution.
Cause
It is not possible to determine the exact cause of the issue without extra diagnostic information.
Resolution
If private NuGet feeds hosted in Amazon/Azure are being used, do the following:
- Go to File | Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | NuGet
- Set Credential Provider to NuGet/.NET CLI plugins.
If that doesn't help, collect the additional information:
- Go to Help | Diagnostic Tools | Choose Trace Scenarios;
- Enable NuGet All, NuGetSearch trace scenarios;
- Reproduce the issue;
- Make a screenshot (or a recording that demonstrates the issue);
- Share the output in the NuGet toolwindow | Log tab;
- Collect logs via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data;
- Disable the trace scenarios enabled;
- Share all the information with the support team via Help | Contact Support.
