Can't clone Azure DevOps Git repo after logging in to Azure DevOps for Rider plugin

Symptoms

After authenticating in the Azure DevOps plugin, when trying to clone an Azure DevOps Git repo, an unexpected "Log In to dev.azure.com" window pops up, preventing from cloning the repo.

Cause

Git plugin in Rider needs credentials to clone the Azure DevOps repository.

Resolution

Use the Personal Access Token generated in the repository settings as a password. This token will be cached by the credentials helper, so in the future you can select the Use credentials helper option.
