Problem
This is a known issue: RIDER-85736 Rider gets stuck while automatically switches between opened solutions
Resolution
Enable the Window → Layout Settings → Use Unique Layout for Every Project option.
After opening several solutions Rider gets stuck while automatically switches between opened solutions
