Problem
Splash screen takes a long time to appear (5+ seconds), while usually it appears almost instantly;
How to profile
- In Rider Settings | Plugins | Marketplace find and install the "YourKit Profiler for IDE Performance Testing" plugin;
- Restart Rider;
- Then reproduce the slow startup by invoking the "Help | Profile Slow Startup" action. Agree to restart IDE;
- Once the welcome screen appears, close Rider;
- Find a .snapshot file generated under
{UserDir}/Snapshots; - Upload it to the Uploads service and share the Upload ID to the engineer upon request
