Performance Monitoring: Switching to the old style chart in Rider 2025.2 or later

How can the memory usage chart in the Monitoring tool window be switched to the old style?

Answer

The Monitoring tool window in Rider has been reworked starting with version 2025.2. The new monitoring chart displays limited information compared to the previous version, focusing on a simple visual representation with a purple chart.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to revert to the old style monitoring chart in Rider 2025.3. The only way to access the previous version of the monitoring tool is to downgrade back to Rider 2025.1.

For detailed memory usage breakdown, the in-built memory profiler can be utilized:

1. Open the Run Configurations drop down;
2. Select '...' | Profile with | Memory Allocations (Full);
3. Use it as needed to examine application memory usage in runtime;
