Problem
The iOS simulators list stopped appearing and remained unavailable in Rider while working on a .NET MAUI project after an upgrade from .NET 9 to .NET 10 and subsequently reverting to .NET 9 did not resolve the issue.
Cause
The issue was traced to duplicate <TargetFramework> entries in the .csproj configuration file, where the entries had slight differences.
Resolution
To resolve this issue:
- Open the affected project’s
.csprojfile in a text editor. - Locate all
<TargetFramework>entries in the file. - Ensure there is only one
<TargetFramework>entry and that it is correctly specified for the project.- Example:
<TargetFramework>net6.0-ios</TargetFramework>
- Example:
- Save the changes.
- Restart Rider and verify that the iOS simulators appear as expected in the device list.
