Rider offers "Any CPU" as the default target platform for builds on Linux/Mac, but you can customize the configurations in Solution Properties to add/configure other target platforms in Rider.
Before adding new solution configurations in your project, please ensure the target platform RIDs are correct. You can refer to the official .NET RID catalog here.
Test with
dotnet buildcommand as below. Ensure the project could build successfully.
dotnet build -r linux-x64
If you want to add/configure other build target platforms in Rider, you can modify the configurations in Solution Properties.
-
Click the dropdown menu next to the "build" button in Rider, select "Edit Solution Configurations".
-
Add build configuration and type the target platform RID in the dialog. Select the target platform.

-
Once it's succeeded, you can specify the
<RuntimeIdentifier>property in your.csprojas well.
