Problem
The editor's syntax highlighting color is not displayed as expected
Resolution
Rider provides a way to detect how the editor color is affected by color scheme settings. To do it, you can place the caret at the desired symbol, press Ctrl+Shift+A (CMD+Shift+A on Mac), find the Jump to Colors and Fonts action, and execute it.
In the example above, this field is displayed in offwhite because the value of "myMath" is assigned but never used, as demonstrated below:
Clicking the result will navigate you to the relevant configuration page, where you can customize the color as needed.
If this does not resolve the issue, provide the following details and contact support. Export color scheme settings
- Go to File | Manage IDE Settings | Export Settings.
- Export all settings under "Editor Colors (schemes)"
Collect Rider logs
- Go to Help | Diagnostic tools | Show Log in Explorer/Finder, then clear the existing logs.
- Restart Rider
- Reproduce the issue;
- Collect the full log bundle via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data;
- upload it to our server and share the ID.
