What user data is collected by dotPeek and how is it protected?

What about data security and compliance features of dotPeek? Is any data collected?  If so, what types? Is data encrypted in transit and at rest? Is there a SOC2 or equivalent assessment?

Answer

SOC2 report for all our JetBrains products is available at JetBrains Trust Center. Access should be requested on the portal.   dotPeek collects some statistics which include general usage patterns, feature usage, and performance metrics. No personal or project-related data is collected.

It is described in the settings: Tools | Options | Environment | Usage Statistics and can be also disabled there.

Statistic transfers via an encrypted channel. It is stored in a database without encryption.
