Problem
While using EF Core with Devart's ADO.NET Data Providers, you may encounter a known issue when the provider stops functioning during the profiling session. This issue occurs if you run your application with enabled Dynamic Program Analysis (DPA).
Cause
An issue on the Devart ADO.NET Data Provider side.
Solution
While Devart works on fixing this issue, we have created a workaround. Starting from Rider version 2023.3, DPA automatically disables SQL inspections if it detects the presence of Devart assemblies in a project.
How to Override the Automatic Disabling
If Devart releases a fix before the next update of our tools, we have added an option to manually override this automatic disabling. To manually enable SQL inspections:
-
Navigate to the Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | Dynamic Program Analysis page.
-
Select Always enable SQL inspections.
Note: If the issue with Devart's ADO.NET Data Providers is not yet resolved, enabling SQL inspections manually could result in profiling issues.
