Debugger breaks in a file with no breakpoint

Background

No breakpoints are visible in the gutter, but the debugger stops in a specific file.

Question

How to find what breakpoint triggers?

Answer

The breakpoint is probably there. Check that as below:

• Select Run | View Breakpoints and Exceptions;
• Check if there are any entries about the problematic file:

  If still the issue persists, clean the .idea folder:

• Close Rider;
• Delete the <SolutionPath>/.idea ;
• Open the solution in Rider again;

  If the issue persists, please contact support and attach Rider logs:

• Go to Help | Diagnostic tools | Choose Trace Scenarios;
• Enable the trace scenario for Debugger;
• Reproduce the issue;
• Collect the full log bundle via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data;
• Disable the trace scenarios enabled;
• Attach the resulting log bundle to this ticket or upload it to our server and share the ID.
