Problem
In the Air plugin in JetBrains IDEs, the MiniMax Code agent from the ACP registry asks to sign in. Sign in to MiniMax Code opens the China login page at agent.minimaxi.com instead of the global login page. A global MiniMax account cannot complete that sign-in, so Air keeps asking to sign in.
The problem affects MiniMax Code 0.2.7, the version the ACP registry installs, and the latest release, 0.6.3.
Cause
MiniMax Code advertises one ACP sign-in method: the terminal command login, without a region. Air runs the command that the agent advertises. Without --region, MiniMax Code uses the region of the last successful sign-in, and the China region (cn) when there is none.
Resolution
Sign in to the global region once from a terminal. MiniMax Code saves the region, and the sessions Air starts use it. The command needs npx on PATH.
- Open a terminal, for example the Terminal tool window.
- Run the sign-in with the global region:
npx @minimax-ai/code@0.2.7 login --region global - Complete the sign-in in the browser on
agent.minimax.io. - In Air, start a new MiniMax Code session.
Air recognizes the existing sign-in and does not ask again.
The missing region choice is a MiniMax Code limitation. Report it to MiniMax with the /feedback command in MiniMax Code.
