Unable to create new projects as PyCharm freezes or keep on spinning

Problem

Attempt to create new projects in PyCharm led to the application freezing/spinning endlessly.

Cause:

Third-party plugin issue. For example, there were cases it was related to TeXiFy-IDEA version 0.11.2 but might be related to a different one. Here is TexiFy bug

Resolution

Disable any Third-party plugins. Follow these steps to disable a plugin:

Navigate to File | Settings | Plugins.
Locate the plugin in the list. It can be filtered by Downloaded
Select each plugin and click Disable.
Restart the application to apply the changes.

After these adjustments, project creation functionality is restored. If any similar issues occur, review by enabling one plugin at a time to identify the one responsible.
